Farewell
Pina Bausch

In 1994 Pina Bausch came to Buenos Aires with Tanztheater Wuppertaler to present "Bandoneon" and "Cafe Muller"in TMGSM.

Walking around San Telmo Pina saw Tete dance at the Sunday fair in Plaza Dorrego.

They became friends immediately and she invited him to see her shows. When she and her company leave they agree to a further encounter in Germany.

In 1995 Tete teaches tango at the School of Essen

Farewell
Pina Bausch

In 1996 he asked me to work together training the company for "Nur Du" which premiers in Wuppertal in 1997.

In 1998 Tete and Pina danced together during the presentations of "Nur Du" at the Théâtre de la Ville in París. And once again in Wuppertal for the 25th anniversary of the company celebrations

On June 30th we learnt about her death. The truth is that I feel sad in this world seeing the loved ones go but I also know of the invisible world where they may be living

So I keep in my heart the good times spent together. Those moments are like eternity itself, are still images.

Pina may be in an invisible world, and us that loved her so much, stayed on the trail of her passage through this world for a little while longer.

Tete wrote these words to her memory:
"Farewell to you, Lady and Queen and Wizard of Contemporary Dance Noble and plain, those who loved you forever, will never ever forget you. A humble dancer of life and his partner
Let the universe and the stars keep your image forever, Pina."

Pina gave Tete a book with these words written on it's first page:

"Oh dear dear Tete
...dance dance
otherwise we are lost...
with all my love
to dance with you will stay for ever unforgetable
and I am dreaming of more
Thank you for this big big honor . Pina.
